BTW.... I just looked into the Pioneer vs. Alpine Nav headunits.
The Pioneer has the XM radio traffic feature.
The Alpine has a much higher resolution video screen
1.15 million pixels for Alpine vs. 300,000 or so for the Pioneer.
But the Pioneer actually surprised me. It looks like the maps they're using are good. (For the longest time, Alpine was the only company to offer nav with video maps... which is why I got Alpine in my last car) If I wanted just a high quality CD player, I always preferred Eclipse. But the desire for video nav forced me to get Alpine for my Lexus. But that Pioneer could be a sweet alternative, with that XM traffic. All other aspects of the unit, I give Alpine the advantage... but traffic is sweet.
Pioneer also has a touch screen, but this can be a plus or minus depending on your preferences. I always liked the ease of use for a touch screen... but the fingerprints on the screen always drive me nuts.
