I drive every day but only about 2 miles. (To and from doggy daycare).

But here, they just fully recharged my battery a week ago and it is dead again? No way. Something is wrong.
Oh, and this time, it died immediately after driving hard for several hours during the meet. Does not sound like a neglected battery.

Nope, I was answering yours but only thought of this additional thing after I posted my original answer.

dont mention about you commute only 2 miles everyday.. they will say you dont drive and short distance traveling is causing the battery to not charge fully...

Yes. That's the plan. The 2 miles is not the cause as they allegedly fully recharged my battery a week ago and because it died again after driving the car for a few hours at the meet.

I've been through this. You won't tell them what your "driving profile" is, they'll tell you. They showed me a printout with the time, date, and distance of every trip I had made over the previous 30 days. I was told, "If you do not drive at least 30 minutes, three times per week, at 'highway speeds,' then you have an 'unfavorable driving profile.'" I looked at my SA, and said, "Bob, give me a freakin' break." He talked to the SM and they replaced it under goodwill with the caveat that it would be the only time. I ordered a BMW (same as Deltran) trickle charger the next day from Garry in Newport and have used it during every trip I take, even if it's only 3-4 days. That was April 2008.

Also, it doesn't matter that you drove the car just prior to it failing to start. Once a cell begins to fail, it will not take a charge fully. It may work intermittently. It's a crap shoot as to when it finally will not turn over.

You can fight it all you want, or you can just buy a damn smart charger and have a normal blood pressure reading.
