Just got back from BMW Kohl in Aachen Germany where I ordered an LCI idrive controller...I enquired about the rear LCI led taillights, (read: buy and install them ! ) > the service manager gave BMW Munich a call and eventually found out that there will be a retrofit package available from JULY/AUGUST 2007 !!
The guy could only speculate on the price...quote "should be under 500 euros"...

Today I received an email from Hella UK the manufacturer of the lights for BMW. They said, '...there is nothing in the pipeline...' for a retro fit kit. So we will have to wait and see...

Somebody soon is going to buy an LCI part and try it on a non LCI car. Also its not all LED anyway.
