How do you guy have your equalizers set? Bell shape? Bowl shape?

Post some examples so I can test it out...

Theres like what? 7 bars inside the equalizer? so say like

bar 1 +5
bar 2 +3
bar 3 0
bar 4 -2
etc etc...
Usually shape likea wok unless I listen to music where the vocals is sweet. Then it's like 2 small bowls

This is a great question - I don;t know what the equalizer bars do individually - and I can never find this answered on a search. Can someone explain where they set their's and why?

It's not that the individual bars "do" anything different, they all do the same thing: they adjust the intensity of each frequency of sound they represent, from lower frequencies on the left to higher on the right. Try this for an introduction: http://homerecording.about.com/od/te.../eqarticle.htm

This isn't a "LOGIC7 thing" or a "BMW thing", which is why you probably won't find the answer searching here.

This is just an issue of equalizers in audio in general, so you'd probably have more luck at someplace like http://www.avsforum.com/ ...that said, I'm sure people can offer their advice. I find that an inverse bell curve (higher toward the ends with a dip in the middle) suits my listening tastes best.

There have been many discussions here about the "right" eq settings.

Here's a couple that might help out:

No, I am NOT aware of WB lack being unassociated with L7. Please tell me where your WB mode is located. I have found only AM, FM and CD, plus the equalizer, spacial and the usual distribution adjustments. What am I missing??

In the same menu, I have AM FM WB and CD

L7 didn't impress at all in the beginning. But after about a month, it produces clean and very smooth sound. I guess like all good speakers... they need time to break-in.

I have weather band and it's not because of Sirius...

The 2004 owner's manual (at least) shows it as optional.
Maybe it came with the 05 premium package, but, as indicated, I am not sure what its source is.

I have an MY05 with premium package... whats weather band? I'm pretty sure I dont have it. Where do I check?

I don't think it's premium package related. I don't have premium either. I think it's part of the Pro Radio, which prior to US MY 2006 only came with Nav. Now Pro Radio appears to be in all US cars, which I think is why my non-Nav 2006 has WB.

I test drove 550i today with Premium Sound and it sounds much better than my standard one on the same test CD.
