I think 550 in HK will be available at the same time as the rest of the world, or even earlier. I got my 525i (new engine) on mid May which I think was pretty quick compared to other countries. HK do only have one dealer so they have very straight policy regarding discount. I got 2% discount for the 525 (excluding tax) as I have bought 2 BMWs from them before, and my salesman told me that this is already the best discount (not sure if he was honest though).

Thanks for your reply. So when do you think the 550 will be available in Hong Kong, and do you guys think that the price of the 550 will be increase from the 545?? Because I have talked to the sales and they were telling me that even if I order the 2006 cars, it will still be 545 and they never mentioned about the 550. Also, they said the first 2006 cars will arrive in Hong Kong in March at the earliest. Can anyone please confirm this for me since I really don't want the 550 to be available once I purchase the 545. Thanks again.

I dont think anyone can "confirm" as BMW is holding the information really tight. BUT speculations say the 550 WILL be available for 2006. And of course depending when you actually will see 2006s in dealers. You can pretty much judge that by looking at the history... When did the 2005s arrive in HK?? Oct 2004? or March 2005? I wouldnt think it would be march... I would "guess" January... only US plays this stupid game of making Mach 2005 cars 2006!!

Just don't trust the salesman. My friend bought the old engine 525i last December with huge discount (HK$85000!!) and the salesman told her that there will be no engine change for 2005. They will probably do the same marketing strategy again for 545i later this year --- Big discount for the stock 545i.

Good luck.

What is the colour, the trim and any option added?

Did the sales give you any extra??

Silver Gray with Gray Dakota Leather, Anthracite Maple Wood Trim. Didn't add any options, as it is not a custom ordered car.

Will try to ask for some plastic floor mats from the sales. What else should I ask for? I didn't ask for anything when I bought the E46 from him last time.

Hi mic325
You got same colour as mine, both exterior and interior. Good taste!

Did the sales gave you some discount as you bought one from him last time?

Will he/she give you some "cashback"?

Can try, floor mat, another set of floor mat, umbrella, 1:24 model, gas voucher and so.

Of course, cash back is the best, but I think it's it too late.

Yeah! Good taste. No, he didn't give any discount to me, but instead, give me a pretty good price on my trade-in E46.

I will try to get a set of plastic floor mats from him.....but today is not a good day for picking up the car, heavy rain all day long.
