Hi gf366,

Is the shop in Mong Kok's Black Cloth Street? Something like German Parts? I forgot the name.

I'm not sure where exactly is the shop, I'd just called them. And I believe yes, you are right, I think it called "German Parts" translated to Chinese. Do you have any comment about them?

I might go to the E90 show, just depends on if my wife willing to accompany me go there....

Thanks!

Yes, we went to Caribbean (San Juan, St. Martten, St. Thomas and Nassau) for cruise, then we went to Miami, then Orlando, then New York..... I didn't choose europe because I was too much in a hurry and too much to do before wedding, not enough time to plan for the trip to Europe...

For the kit, well, it's always not a bad idea to get it from BMW, coz it's covered by warranty... I just wonder, how come you originally said it's going to cost you $24000, but it turns out to $29000???

They are quite good, from what I heard from the BMW Newsgroup forum. Quite a few people buy parts from them and are very satisfied. I got a quote from them for the E46 M-Tech Kit and they are cheaper than BMWHK by $8000.

Well, Brian (the service rep at Chai Wan) told me over the phone it was $24,000 (Im pretty sure that's how much he said). Then when I showed up at the service centre, it was printed in black on white "$29,000". Originally, I was disappointed and didnt want to commit. Then I thought to myself, I came all the way out here to Chai Wan, what the heck. Besides I didn't know where else the kit is sold :-P

Oh well :'(
Thanks!

Hi mic325

I'd be interested to visit that shop too. I wonder if they carry AC exhausts for my puny 520?? hehe.... BMW sells it for over $12,000 and they have none in stock, has to be special ordered.

Why get the AC exhaust? I'd used to get a pair of AC exhaust in my M Roadster, I think the note is too subtile, that bearly able to heard them.

I was thinking about Eisenmann exhaust, some e60 owners in this forum has already had them installed, the comments are actually not bad. And the most important part is, it's a quad exhaust! Looks soooo nice!

Quad is nice, but I hv two worries: 1) will it void our BMW warranty? 2) M-Tech rear apron accomodates quad exhausts? or holes hv to be cut out?

I actually dont mind a more subtle note, wife may not even notice the change, which is a plus for me.....hahaha.

Bunbun.

Hmm...I don't think they carry any AC Schnitzer stuff, from what I saw, they only specialize in OEM parts.

Frankly, BMWHK's ACS price are very good, much better than the retailers out there, at least for their wheel/tyre packages. That's the case for my 18" ACS wheel/tyre. Got it for $17000 in BMWHK, most of the shops outside charges for around $25000 for the same set.

I have no experience in ACS exhaust, but do have a Hamman one for my 330Cic. It is quite loud when it is around 2500-4000rpm, to an extent I feel quite annoying.
