It's the infra-red creats heat.

All films or even the glass shield most of the UV. but not IR which heat up the car. Different film have different degree of shield against IR, but almost 100% against UV.

Colour gives you outlook only, totaly irrelvant to the shielding against UV or IR.

Take a look at FSK's web-site, the one against IR most is nearly transparent.

yeah now I am training my son to have cold water shower.I will train my other kid in years time too the all 3 of us can have cold shower in winter too

maybe the new 3m is 100% but the old 3m that I have dose not feel 100%
I would say 95%

For E60, I think may be only for the windscreen. For 7 series, tinted glass all around. That's what I got from the some glass manufactrer.

have you seen the new 3M Crystalline that blocks out 97% of the IR
this is the 1 I what
my old 1 did not block as much
