given the traffic condition in hk and v little usage of highway for most of us, I just dont see how 8 speed gearbox can give much better fuel economy than 6 speed unless the engine has been tuned to have a v narrow band of efficiency (which I doubt) but I am an open minded kind and interested on the actual technical reasons on this.
why would a 8 speed give smoother change than 6 speed? the smoothest gearbpx ought to be CVT, it has no gear change at all.

Dynamic Driving Control (DDC) in the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo.
Dynamic Driving Control makes a difference: adapt the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo to meet your needs, and those of your passengers. Chassis, engine, automatic transmission and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) noticeably change the driving style at the touch of a button from relaxing NORMAL to dynamic SPORT +. In the SPORT mode you can tighten the chassis setting depending on your needs.

Most likely I cannot join the morning drive tomorrow as I need to have a morning tea with family. Have fun guys.
BTW, after tremendous delay due to bad weather & other excuse, my new rear bumper & side skirts finally have been dispatched from UK on Thursday by UPS and some other courier. Hopefully they will arrive in a week or so. Something for me to look forward to enhance my ride. The new sides have similar shape as the M-Tech / AC, but the rear bumper has a more aggresive look with rear fender grilles that match with my front fender grilles. Will see.
