Good news for Sirius and thus those of us living in fear of them disappearing.

Daimler Chrysler is ramping up production for next year, from 100K vehicles delivered with Sirius in 2004 to 500K in 2005.

It's also a very good value, relative to what we're paying BMW for it.

The Chrysler Group offers the SIRIUS Satellite Radio factory-installed option on 2005 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles for $195 MSRP, the best offer in the industry. This price includes a one-year subscription to the full SIRIUS service: 65 commercial-free music channels and 60 channels of news, sports, entertainment, traffic and weather. As an additional customer benefit to Chrysler customers, there is no activation fee to initiate the service after vehicle delivery.

Wow that's a great price. I think that's essentially free, once you factor in the free year of service.

Works for me, I just installed last week and I am very pleased. I even called today to get a lifetime subscription for $350. Sirius will give you a $150 credit (1st year pd by BMW) on the $499 regular lifetime rate.

how is the sound quality? Do different stations have different quality levels like XM?

I had XM briefly and did not really like their taste in programing.

Sound quality is great, especially with logic7. As far as programming, I love smooth jazz and the jazz station is great. Not to mention news and sports.

Wow, now if I would have only gotten the stupid $75 Sat Prep, life would be great.
Hope they find a fix for that with I-Drive/Nav.
