Garage Opener in Rear view mirror

I was having the same issue and the instructions above worked like a charm (after following the regular owner's manual instructions). The important part is step 2.

It might depend on what brand of opener you have. I have a Genie that has "random code sequencing".

Holy Sh!t! These steps worked. I've been trying to do it all wrong this whole time. Lol

The only help i can offer you isto tell you to be cautious when opening your car door if you put the ladders close to your door. It's a really easy way to ding your door!
