MyPML SE told me that one of his clients had a flat on his run-flat tires and decided to change all four to regular tires because one replacement tire cost over $1k.
I have read on another thread on this board that punctures can be repaired if the sidewalls haven't caved in.

kiasu, that time i traded in my 16" ugly 520 inch to 17" 525 std rims plus runflat. Actually run flat is quite stiff leh. Noisier also. Yesterday I went to Stamford tyres to do rotation. They told me all the things abt runflat. I tink you better stick to std tyres. In our road, we have bmw assist and if tyre pucnture, just call them to change lor
Unless you go to malaysia very often, then runflat will be useful.

sg520i, I told them I do not want run flat. I have the Goodyear F1 245/45/R18 normal tyres. Each piece is $390.
