update on my ice.

still cant solve the zzzzzzzzz noise.they say they changed the wiring etc. took out the amps and placed it outside the car for testing...no noise. put it back in got noise.

now the amp is in my spare tyre well and the noise is still there.
he says the audition amp is too good hence it absorb or pick up the interferences. suggested to me to change to another amp and see if valid. i dont know how many times i have had my car stripped.gave up on that idea. it seems like an endless mod.

my concern now is will placing the amp in the spare tyre well reduce life span of amp..its dam hot in there and the amp is scorching.theres no ventilation!
Which Hi to Low converter did you use? AudioControl? Could be your low signal wires picking up interference from your car electronics. Did you try using shorter and shielded wires? Low signal wires are most prone to noise pickups.

bugs read the fine print

The powerful M-version of BMW?s 3-Series is scheduled for launch next year only. The 3-Series M will be available initially as coupe, and later as convertible and four-door. For the first time power will come from a V8 powerplant, derived from the M5 and M6. It is a 4.0 litre engine delivering 415 HP. Transmission is a seven-speed SMG gearbox. A traditional six speed manual transmission will be offered as an option

We can arrange one of the Saturdays to meet at your installer and I'll see if I can help you solve the problem with your installer. IMHO, this problem should not be that cheeeeeeeeeeeem lah.

Nuvi360, I already knew who your installer was.
I'm considering getting them to do it too, since they're such a friendly lot of people. That's why I don't mind trouble shooting this problem with them. Asagi's configuration is slightly different from yours. The choice of inter-connects, its length and their placement in your car plays an important role in keeping out the noise. I still think that the noise was picked up at your Hi-to-Low converter and connecting wires. You can try feeding an audio signal from your iPod directly to your 701, drive around and see if the whining sound is still there. If you still here the whine, move this setup around and I'll expect the noise to disappear. If this works, it confirms that the whine was picked up at this point.

Nuvi,
Zig is an noise expert( electronis noise) and should able to offer some good advise to your installer.
Frankly, your have too much components compared to Tcc but this should not be the reason for those noise.
