RSLK, I dun remember Ah Boa giving me any manuals but I will try looking for it to confirm. By the way, I heard Yankee got free replacement of the older Video Interface (VI) for the latest mode. He went to the manufacturer personally and got a free exchange. I may be planning a trip to Korea towards the end of the year and, if you are interested, I will try exchanging yours for a new one. Will advice when schedule is confirmed.
Thanks Leslie. Let me know once your trip is confirmed... so that I can get Ah Bao to dismantle it..

Has anyone got Ah Bao to fix the new Video Interfaces?

U r not fat. I think the problem is you don't do "special" and therefore Fireplace think you are not in demand...hehe. Everything have got to have a start.. Nike!

RSLK,

I tot of buying the IPOD video 60G and asked Ah Boa to install for me the base. Heard from LMK recently that IPOD coming out with new model. Should I buy this or wait??

I think the current iPod Video is still quite new and it works well.. so I would get it (in fact I bought 2!). The black one will fit our ride quite nicely.

One thing to note is to convince Ah Bao to use a S-Video converter which is available as an output source from the Universal Dock to the Video Interface, rather than waste the AV Cable. Also take note that the angle/slope has to be right, to avoid depressing the DSC/PDC buttons accidentally.

Get a 30cm (or shorter) Optical Audio Cable and he would be able to redivert the IR sensor to the Gearshift... and yes... get the iPod slim remote too...

I saw his video after our GTG in bedok. Pics is very clear and honestly I was quite impressed. This type of thing better let him meddle to perfection first so that next time when we want to install, there is a standard to follow, right Yankee??

Richard,

Maybe one of these day, I drop by to see how's yours being install.

Guys,

the Singapore International Motorshow is on from Nov 10th for 19 days at SICEC. They will be taking up 25,000 sqm over 3 floors.

Maybe we can arrange a group visit, preferably on those "trade days" so we can have more room and less people?
