No kidding, think can drop to 5th gear from 6th. When the RPM comes down some more, drop gear again, keeping the RPM near to red line to make full use of the engine drag. I think I was still at about 120km/hr when the TP was just behind me. He followed me for a while before he came beside me. I've slowed down to 90km/hr then.
yes... but the deccleration is not fast enough if you depend on the engine braking alone to bring you down to legal limit within 10 second! so how long did it take you to slow down to 120kph ? at that speed you are still vulnerable to ticket!

BTW if you are pushing 180 (note.. not cruising!).. chances are you are in fifth.. so going down to 4th will be pushing the rpm.

In fact I took some quite time to slow down as I didn't dare to step on my brakes. He followed behind me for a while as I was still slowing down to 120kph. Its only when my car reached below 100kph he decided to ride beside me to turn on his police beacons. Obviously, he could have booked me but I guess he decided to go after the Odyssey that continued to speed.
