Today, when my E60 rolled down a steep slope, the engine suddenly jerked as if it was going to stall. It seemed as if the gear did not engage properly. Not sure what is the reason. I have clocked 5000 km and according to the onboard computer, service is at 17000km. Do you guys send in the car for first service earlier? I want to ask PML to upgrade the computer to a newer version.

kiasu,

regarding your jerk problem, i do encountered oso. There is no reason to send in earlier for first service. Unless you are sure that the first service will help to resolve ur problem. If it is a problem, then pml shld pay for labour and parts. I think only 520 has this problem. You want upgrade your computer to a Pentium Xeon?

sg520i, kind of disappointed that for the amount paid for this car, there is no complete peace of mind. I bet the Lexus got no such problem.

kiasu,

I am so used to conti car with many nitty gritty issues. Merc or BMW....sama sama. Japanese car is less complicated and reliable. But hor, brand new lexus prices always drop tremendously after 1-1.5 years. I think brand new MB maintain their prices pretty well...Our 520 is lelong now at 182-184K....wapiang....wat 30th anni.....crazy.

i saw that tuga's e60(orient blue) has rubber mat. Do you think it is available here? I tried your method....went to petrol station to buy rubber mat and cut to size. But hor, the rubber odour is really stink...make me sick with aircon on....so i dumped them away!

hi....pml does not hv the rubber mats...cos they r made for left hand so far only. they however say they hv something going with 3M. they can cut 5 pieces at 160+ sgd. I think the 3M mats r not too bad...altho i hv not seen them for E60 yet.

toto,

is the 3M mat same as those selling in car accessories shop? Those mats are harder to maintain. It traps tiny stones and dirts.....got to handpick them off.

I just got a set of rubber mats from this guy called Sam. He's familiar with the E60 and knows all the interior colours and sizes. Just tell him what is your interior colour and he will prepare the mats accordingly.

I think he charges $100 for a set. These are 3M type mats (not original 3M though, therefore cheaper)

Nice guy, good service, will deliver the mats to you.

HP no. is 93129214
