BTW, that lady from BMW Asia was really nice and patient with me.
Yeah read in roadfly e60 forum that if you visited the Munich BMW center for plant tour, they are building all the e46; some e65 there but not the e60s.
what model did you order? what is the diff with Prof radio jez curious why you need it so badly?

Today, the active steering warning light came on again after I started the car. I had to "reboot" the car by switching off the engine and restarting it to clear the sign. When the warning sign came on, I felt the steering a bit heavier. Not sure whether it was psychological or indeed the active steering was not functioning properly. Problem could also be due to over-sensitive sensor. This is the fourth or fifth time I had this encounter.
the creaking noise on my door so far have been staying away after five days!
I have 3000 km on the clock now... have yet to red line the car so far!
Fuel mileage sucks big time 5.7 km per liter... as i don't do much highway driving.

BTW.. The E60 is manufactured in Dingolfing, north-east of Munich, not far from Landshut. As it is the largest BMW factory, employing more than 20,000 workers, a tour of the factory is a must if you happen to pass by.
I was lucky this summer and even sneaked a peek at the new 6.

Nah, it was some chinese chick, didn't sound like a high up executive.
I'm hoping the bluetooth retrofit will be possible. Our cars here come with the telephone preparation, which means the wiring and microphone are already installed, together with controls on the steering wheel. So it's very likely that retrofit of the bluetooth will be possible.
The Pro Radio has a CD-ROM drive instead of just a regular CD player. It will support MP3 playback via CD-Rs after an Idrive software upgrade in March 04.

Anyway, E60 bluetooth will support most phones with bluetooth feature (almost all Sony Ericssons, Nokia 6310, Siemens S##, can't remember). But in a seperate thread, someone mentioned that it won't work with the Sony Ericsson P800s and P900s
