Okay lah. Could have been better. Traffic was moderate, so it was not possible me to exercise my M6. 1628 had a bad day though. He had the "engine failure" warning come up almost halfway to Malacca. Although the car was fine again after start-up, he didn't want to risk it and got PML to arrange transport to SIN for his ride.

Oh yeah, Stranger; forgot to add; we are all law abiding, friendly neighbours of Malaysia. Maximum speed I achieved was only 85 Km/Hr. No reason for the camera to catch me. I only feared bogus readings from hungry cops.

yep had a bad day.engine failure just when i was about to have real fun after getting rid of that old souped up malaysian bmw.

i was chasing ed m6 and zaq when "bling" engine failure reduce power.then i had no choice pull over and i can feel immediate loss of power.

suprisingly as russo said try on off engine..it was back to normal but bmw emergency service says can not drive incase further damage.

they are doing the diagnosis now.i did just have ver 21 software installed so no idea what caused the prob.

but the taxi ride back in ed s m6 made up for the thrill and joy i seeked for.m6 dam solid at high speed stable and noise inside cabin was comfortable but if you outside driving chasing him you can hear his exhaust loud man....thanks again ed for the trouble to go thru 1st link.

Received my Nuvi 350 on friday. Been playing with it over the weekend. With the malsingmaps, we can't search by addresses rite? What about road names, I can't do that either, is there a way? At the moment, only way is to try and find a landmark nearby and use that. Any other way?

Anyone knows where we can get free Australia city maps?

BTW, the TTS is sometimes laughable. It was trying to say Sungei road and pronounced it as "sun-gee road" instead

Will wait for Prof Lai to return from his Korea trip to enlighten all the Nuvi novices here on how to maximise the gadget...

In the mean time... anyway to create our own POI notifications such as fixed cameras along the various roads? The ones I downloaded only had a few in SGP and mostly along the N-S highway...? thanks!

The TTS doesn't know how to pronounce short forms.... like Lor (Lorong), Jln (Jalan), Lk (Link, it tried pronouncing it as Lake), Twr (Tower) etc...

Would like to replace them with my own voice files...
