was it near the place / traffic junction we happened to meet?
the new PDA laser does look like a video cam.
what time was it? i was there too, near my office but i did not notice that there is someone standing there.
LMK... it is about 150 meters from the traffic jn where we met but it is the other side of the road towards Lornie road. It was between 4 to 6pm. Because the road is curve, they have to position on the extreme left just after the stair case to cover the on coming traffic.

Darn... I was off yesterday, would have never been on the road at that hours.

also in the morning while stopping for a left turn filtering... a loud bang! i braced and looked at the rear view. Behind me was a cefiro; a taxi and another taxi. Apparently the third car a taxi has slammed into the taxi in front of him which in turn grazed the cefiro. Phew!

I have always wondered if we can put a voice tag to these...
That would be nice.

yes, if you download from malsingmaps, Noah has already upload it into the download site.
use the .gpx file and store into your garmin folder.
he preset at 2000m for warning.

Cool! Is it a new feature or I am being ignorant? I know the symbols have been there for ages.

Actually someone told me Tomtom was made illegal somewhere (can't remember which country) for having a voice tag to speed camera locations. They say it then behaves like an anti radar equipment. Huh? Not sure how true this is.

if your map has the tags on it, likely you are updated. as to whether it is illegal or not, we need a lawyer to answer that....
