I am thinking of changing my tyres and would favour going away from run-flats. Can't decide between PS2 or the new Dunlop Maxx - both have good reviews on tirerack with the latter now in frist position. care to share your take?
I personally swear by PS2. No other tires even come close. Not even CSC2 got a chance. You can take corners in the wet just like on dry roads without thinking about it. Its pricy but its worth it.

Just came back from KL yesterday. They seemed to have increased the number of police cars on the northsouth highway.
From Malacca onwards there were 2, one of them asked me to stop but I sped off, then back from KL there were 4 about 20 to 30 km apart. All of them parked at roadside with a camera in the car. I didn't get stopped though. Maybe they booked me liao I also don't know. Anyone knows what is the website to check again?
Traffic was quite smooth though, only got chased by a malaysian E60 for 20mins or so until he overtook me then I saw the 530 tag. Damn. I managed to chase it up to Yong Peng then he exited. Sigh, my 320 is really getting out of breath on high speeds. Got to get at least a V8 for that extra oomph. Ed you were saying something about selling your 5?

PS2 are just great. Soft sidewalls give you the ride comfort that other low profile tyres deprive you of. The grip is just fantastic; even in the rain, hard cornering is not a problem. The tyres may lose grip just for a millisecond and you can feel it catch back on again almost in an instant. The bad thing about the PS2 is that they do not offer your rims much protection because of the nature of the side wall. Also, if you're lousy at parallel parking, you might find yourself replacing tyres quite often.
I think I might have just have had my picture taken yesterday. The police located at overhead bridges now operate singly and not in pairs and thats where I got caught offguard. I was doing 130Km/h along Adam Rd when I noticed the figure of a man standing at the bridge just outside the Japanese Club. Didn't bother initially but the man never moved and so just to err on the side of caution, I began to slow down. It was about 200 - 300m away that I noticed that he was holding something and that is where I stamped on the brakes. In the end I was doing about 80 - 100Km/h when I passed him, dread.... Needless to say, my sixth sense was in the glove compartment at that time.

This means that they look at the pictures in their labs and determine how fast you are travelling instead of a laser or radar.
