have to check out your setup.

i'm concerned about hibernate and startup time. how long isit on windows to wake up/resume the system after startting the engine? did you get a special power supply for this setup?
Sure. But not used to using the phone as the keyboard yet. Sometimes still wish I had a keyboard.

I did get a M1-ATX smart power controller. It has various settings but I set it to 3seconds to start power down, and 45seconds to kill the power completely.

I do not know what happens to the native 12V when the car enters sleep or that if I don't completely power down the computer would the car stay "awake". So I chose the easy option to power down as mentioned above.

I don't load a lot of stuff so the boot up is about 1 minute (or less) (This part obviously depens on what processor is used. I am using a 1.2G from VIA). I auto start the GPSproxy, nRoute and iTunes. All in all about 1min20s. I have not done any optimisation. I am sure it can go down further, the boot down. A guy in another forum always hibernates his carputer, and he says it takes only 5 seconds to resume.

No lah! Enough of that. But the guy got whacked by everyone for his arrogance.

By the way, I remember we have more than 10 guys who purchased the Video Interface. Show of hands, how many installed and comments please? Nothing heard from Totoseow, Equinox, Doctors, etc.

i have 4summons dated back to 2002 and i was surprised that it was updated sometime last year only( checked on this web site)but they never stop me at check point leh?

since gonna get booked any way might as well speed all the way right, value for money hahaha.
i will be changing my no plate soon hahahahaha.

how much did pml charge you for the paint job.

guys i am looking into lowering my ride but i still want ride comfort no tracking for me so what is good pls recommend

TIA
Hi Tony, I paid $650 for the paint job covering the entire bonet. Was told a complete car paint job would set one off by $5k! I am sure a third party would do it for not more than 3k.

As for the lowering the ride, you can go for the Sports suspension setting (code 226), with the car lowered by 15mm and the price quoted previously was $1501. This is not the same as the M sports suspension (code 704) which is approx $3k. Hope this helps.
code 226 at $1501? what set up is that? is this retrofit or factory option price?
didn't know there is sport suspension that cheap from OEM...

1628, if you want comfort and sporty drive, go retrofit the OEM sport suspension... it definitely improve the handling.

That's what was printed on the option price list for E60 when I made my purchase in Sep last year. Apparently, there are two types of suspension settings for E60. The sports suspension (226) is less expensive than M sports suspension. Check with PML Sales to see if that price still hold. I think it's just changing the springs? Not sure.

SGD 1501.00 is the price if you order with new car from Germany. Retrofit price is much more expensive.

YeeeHaaaa!!!! Offically ran-in my ride tonight (1.5 months since delivery..SLOW!!!) and time to wake up the beast under the hood! Hmm...I floored the pedal, brisk pick up but gear switched at around 4.5 rpm. Didn't even red line past 3rd gear. Maybe works only with MS mode? or my feet was just too light on the pedal?

Tried taking a pic of the HUD. Was at a traffic light junction next to Gleneagle Med Centre. Very helpful feature with GPS guidance on. Wish more information can be projected instead of just km/hr readout as default. I believe the M cars would show RPM and gear selector. Wonder if those can be reprogrammed into the non-M car's HUD. Wishful thinking I guess. What would be helpful is the display of gear selector.
