Not now. Drive it a little longer and wait for the facelift. Probably in another year or so. By then most of the little niggly problems will have been sorted out.

Today I experienced couple of i-drive warning message -" engine over heating - pls drive moderately to cool down"... something like that. The message triggered and went off right away. Anyone got this before?
BTW, shit always happened after getting car back from PML service. The last time when I sent in for oil change- I got the low engine oil message the very evening. Today I sent in for brake fluid change and system check!

Olivin530i... heard yr ride is in pml PC please let us know how is rev 18 software working!
Some folks in the forum complaining about slam on the 545's
I am going in next week to get the upgrade for gear shift lag on 16.x

if you been in pml recently.. there is this promo on 3 year all in service package going and 5 series they quote $3900 (if my memory doesn't fail me!) Isn't this a rip off?
My ride is coming to second year in Nov. Two oil change services so far and latest brake fluid change. I have yet to spend S$1K on the bills to date. What math is the PML using? can someone enlighten me!?

zag, i had the same problems for my car before. It happened when i was pushing my car real hard just a few mins after the car was turned on. (Late for school).. But the warning from the i-drive disappeared a moment after i slowed down.

The problem I had was that i wasn't even pushing the car, it happened after about 10 minutes into casual relax driving.

Was there last weekend to look at the 3 with my sis. Was told about this for the 5er. Did a quick calculation in my head, and smiled at the fellow.

Or is PML telling us "wait till you see the 3rd year"?

Well PML is not actually wrong in that sense. See for 3 years, taking in account of an average driver clocking up 25,000km per year, which means 75,000km in 3 years, means you got to

change engine oil 4 to 5 times
bleed brake fluid twice
replace aircon and alternator beltings once
Replace aircon microfilter once
replace brake pads of front and rear twice
replace brake discs of front and rear once
Power steering hoses and pipes
replace air filter
replace fuel filter
replace control arm bushings if worn
spark plugs etc

Actually the best is to read the clause and terms and conditions to see what is covered and what is not. Battrey, windscreen claims, tires, rubber mouldings, etc might not be in the list. But taking account into all those wear and tear, it could amount close to that fiqure
