I was at Russo's shop on Saturday and noticed an E55 with a solar panel integerated into the front of the roof. Understand from Russo that it is used to automatically start a ventillation fan within the (parked) car on very hot days.
Cool feature. Wonder why BMW didn't incorporate this into the E60.

My H&R coilovers arrive this morning, so they should be on by next week.
Brembo Gran Turismo if you're impatient (380mm front and 345mm rear). StopTech if you're willing to wait. Did Lintrex's prices include fitting?
Given that Brembo BBK's are very common mods on BMW's in the US, they must integrate well with all the nanny electronic systems in these cars. Otherwise, liability issues would kill them.
The black callipers will look great on your beast, especially with your new 19" wheels. If you can get the slotted rotors, all the better, because the holey ones are more for show than performance. Drilled rotors don't cool as fast as solid rotors, and can crack after repeated exposure to extreme conditions.

Just got a positive response from Torsten re the BFD.
"the two-stage brake light is for the E60 available here in Singapore!!
Today we programmed the first car (E60) and it is working fine. There
are no parts required and in generall the two-stage brake lights are
already approved by LTA."
I have sent him an e-mail msg asking if there will be costs involved. Will keep you guys posted.

Went in for my 1st service last Wed day. Due to the long time quoted by Alexandra site, I told the K.Arang to fix only my driver's window, my clicking steering and perhaps take a look at my driver's seat which liked to make knocking noise.
Was called up near the end of the day that they needed to replace my rack & pinion (how to spell these?) and also some active steering stuff, and would need the car till noon the next day. Was a bit disappointed but just let them do the jobs.
The car came back with a temporary fix on the seat (they don't have the stock of the rails). I can live with them. Steering seems a tad heavier/stiffer but ok now. Window no problem. Best of all, the stupid creaking noise on my front left dash is also gone! Now the car is even more enjoyable.
Just have to monitor my CD player to see if the problem is still there.

While you are with Mr Torsten, maybe you can ask him to organise a session where they can enlighten us on the electronics of our ride - like what is M.A.S.K, what is the T.C.U etc and their functions - what is done when the car is in for a CIP update?
Such a session will be useful insight for owners I thought. Any inputs guys?
