I thought he was trying to get a M5 group buy going?

Anyway, you're only half right. Yes, I was with the Rock; no I was not negotiating the M5; I was questioning the pricing, but you'll see in time exactly the main reason I was there for. There is no way we can get a further reduction for two main reasons. Firstly, the M5 is not meant to be a mass production car. As it is, at this price, there is a waiting list of 8 buyers. Secondly, PML claims they have already brought the price down as low as they can in order to compete with the AMG. Furthermore, they claim that their profit is not what we imagine it to be. BMW Asia, the actual importer, gets the bulk. Don't know if this is really the case, but thats not for me to say.
Lets face it; those with the money screwed up the pricing. If there had not been any buyer, or even if there were only 1 or 2, then PML would have had to do a rethink, but as we already know, theres a queue of 8 potential owners. There will be discounts for customers who are recognised, but do not expect too much. Also, even if you're happy with the discount, be prepared for a long wait. I was certainly disappointed at the discount level, but hey, look on the bright side; one can have his ride looking almost like an M5 (except w/out the M5 gills) by purchasing the M-tek kit.
M6 looks even more impressive on paper. And the wonderful thing is that it's just a dream away.

Guys, need some feedback. The next time you're driving in high temp (approx 35 - 36 degrees) or if you're idling for too long a period - like whilst awaiting for a car park lot or your wife, please try to notice if you experience hesitation in your acceleration or any other strange behavior in your ride's response.
It seems that my ride and my friend's 520 both misbehaved on Friday. FYI, the reading on the temp gauge was 36.5. The hesitation and jerkiness, coupled with the horse riding reverse, all came back. The 520 experienced plenty of hesitation - also on Friday. On any other normal day, everything was perfect; maybe can even overtake and outrun the SPF Subaru. May be an isolated case of coincidence, but then, if it is proven that heat is the cause of these problems, then we'll have identified a proven cause for PML to work on, not only for my ride or my friend's but for everyone concerned.

No lah Olivin. Come so far already. How to u-turn? Only frustrated that PML cannot do anything further for us; otherwise I will be BMW driver forever (which is not many years left).
Anyone with news of the M6? I've seen the SL55 which is going at SGD 550K and the 997S at 509K. PML, if you guys are reading; please don't be too greedy with your pricing on the M6. Help a few of us make our dream a reality.
P.S Anyone with info on number plate 96 for sale? If so, pls ctc me. Quite fed-up of so many other BMWs with the numbers 27 and 2727. Getting far too common - just like the E60.

Come to think of it, most people in logistics prefers 46 for obvious reasons, and well, 46, 96, 69 or whatever, these numbers would appear everywhere, even on taxis - the impt thing is that you enjoy yr ride and have eyeballs rolling your way.
