I have just put my ride in PML(A) to rectify a list of problems and to do a bluetooth retrofit (partly lured by eggz's good report and partly fedup with the short battery life of my bluetooth headset.

The list of problems are:

1. To replace broken rubber flip in drink cup holder in rear arm rest (part ordered and brought in long ago)
2. Driver's window makes strange noise when winding down
3. A-pillar has excess cloth near dash
4. Brakes hisses loudly when going down ram especially in enclosed car-park entrances
5. In dash CD player still return back to track 2 everytime even after sw upgrade to 13.2
6. Passenger side wing mirror's motor still in action after the mirror folds
7. One rear door lock failed to lock after driving off, OK after locking/unlocking 3-4 times
8. Panel with window switch at front passenger side is peeling
9. Driver's side rear door - something is loose inside
10. Static on radio especially on 92.4
11. there are 2 or 3 more I can't remember now....

Got to speak to several PML workshop/aftersales managers and one promised to raise the issue of the warning message to BMW Asia again - apparently they have a meeting and this issue was raised a couple of weeks ago. He is also keen to join us in our meetups to touch base. I will invite him next time.

The knocking sound. This one is getting to me as it's getting louder.

The clicking noise on the steering wheel; each time I hear it my heart aches ...

All in I don't know how many days I am going to lose my car for them to fix.

You'd better send your ride in for an assessment first. The problems you indicated involves spares that have to be ordered. Once in, PML will take maybe a day to change the parts

russo, where did you get it from and how much did you pay? By "actual", do you mean it is exactly like the real M5 kit?

Hi Olivin, Good luck with the retrofit. BTW, remind your CSA to make sure that the microphone is put at the right slot, i.e nearest the driver. There have been cases were the phone mic was put at the left slot....duh!

Hi Guys,

PML(EC) took in my car and repaired the scuff they left on my rim while they were servicing my car.. Loaned me a 318i (M trim) whilst they worked on my car.. Well, I must say, they did quite a remarkable job.. Can't tell where the scuff was..

Fitted my M Sport Kit as well yesterday.. I really like the new look.. Met an acquaintance who bought an E60 520i 2 weeks ago.. Prices are now $177K with option of the M Sport Kit(RRP $4600) at 50% discount. Looks like PML are really lowering the prices in view of the phasing out of the 520s.. I wonder how low they will go..
