mine went in for that the first time, then in for the ignitiion cable, i drive it home yesterday from the stealership drop it to get detailed, wont start again. i had to leave it alone, try again, by slow going thru the steps of starting the vehicle, like waiting in the second postion for 30 seconds, then it started...im f$king pissed. !

It turned out to be a bad starter motor. Not under warranty. 1000$. 69k miles, 5 years old I should be getting it back today and back in business. Thanks for all the replies! smartass comments and all
Oh man! That just sucks. On the bright side, if this is your only mechanical failure you've had after warranty, I guess it's not that bad. I would be a bit concerned about the future though! You should be able to find an aftermarket warranty for at least 100k miles. Good luck man.

Sorry to resurrect this old post. I had this problem and had to replace the brake light switch. It took $30 and 20 minutes. The car has not had any other issues since.

For those experiencing this problem, this is a good read: https://www.youcanic.com/wiki/depres...e-start-engine

This was very helpful! My van going in tomorrow and they should have the brake switch part I ordered last week.
Got away without a tow as I fed the starter motor 12v from the battery (+) and away she went. Enough for one trip to the dealerships service centre.
Thanks for the info everyone!
