Bmw e60 a/c expansion valve how to locate
E 60 525 i a/c replacement of expansion valve
When I bought the car was already with a/c leak , that was re filled with FREON JUST TO BE SELL,
now " is my problem,"
who knows for how long they were doing that, all air inside the system, may or may not mess up
FOLLOWING THE HIGH AND LOW LINES TO THE FIREWALL, I CAN NOT SEE THE EXPANSION VALVE,
any knowledge will be very help full, thank you in advance

not the footwell maybe the ac drain line is there, but is not cause i looking for that too.
dammed these cars men, nothing is parked at the drive way for 12 days,

I was just stating it was on the passenger side footwell. It's not hard to get to. I have done the blower motor before and it took 3hrs for complete assembly. The valve is easier to get to. You should be able to get to it when the glovebox is taken out and you take the screws out on the engine side

Here is the procedure for R&R of tev on IHKA system. Valve is accessed from passengers firewall after removal of fresh air boxes.

The AC in my '06 530xi never worked well. I figured out the system had been open for a while before I got it. I replaced the drier cartridge that is in the condenser in front of the radiator, vacuumed it down a few hours and recharged. It works fine now..
