We see, on the CID maps, a symbol that Mrs. Sixcard thinks it looks like a tall martini glass and it means there is a saloon close by . (She also thinks martinis are made with vodka!) Yuck!

I think it looks like a tall communications tower. They seem to be close to major roads.

We were in Roswell, GA and saw neither a saloon nor any tower near these symbols, but we did then find a saloon. I had a Tanquery with a dash of Stock Dry Vermouth, and she had a Cosmo of all things!

Back to the symbol. Does anyone recognize the symbol we are describing? Is there a page that shows such symbols.

I think the symbol displayed on the map corresponds to the last POI category you selected. Do you remember what you last chose for a POI?

 

Yikes! I don't ever remember selecting a POI. You don't mean a new destination do you?

These symbols show up at random, some as close to each other as 1/2 mile, but they are not regularly spaced.

We saw one that was close to a Starbucks ... thought it might be a WiFi hotspot.

I'll set it on the 400 ft range and drive to one.

Looked closer at the symbol. It is a cocktail glass and there is a musical note symbol next to it.

I went to one of these sites (as close as I could) and it was slap in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I could not hear any music.

I'm still confused!

 

You need to drink a few cocktails before you'll start hearing any music...

 

Did that! I went to one of my favorite adult beverage spots and sure enough there was one of those symbols.

If you look for a saloon(lounge) on the NAV by name it likeley will put you at one of those symbols.

I guess that was the POI you suggested Rudy.
