I found the following link last week. It's specific to the code so I'm pretty sure this is it.
https://wiki.bentleypublishers.com/d...es+2004+-+2005
Having said that, the light has gone off. Same day I put gas in it. So it's either the CEL shutting off after a few cycles or it's potentially bad gas or maybe I needed a second try on the gas cap although it's hard to screw that up.

Understood. I was looking for a solution rather than confirmation it happens.

The CEL will be coming and going. I had the same symptoms.

I brought the car to an independent shop, they wanted to replace the pump and hoses, and valves as well as all the related gaskets for a total of $1502. I asked them to replace just the hoses, valves and the related gaskets which comes to $900. We'll see if that does it, I get the car back early next week.
They also noted that oil is 'pouring' out of the valve gasket covers. They want $2000 for that. I understand these motors do that but i'm not smelling anything nor do I have a puddle on the garage floor. If it's 'pouring' then I'd expect the belly pan to be holding 6qts of oil. I'll address this when I see a puddle/smell oil/have to add oil every other day.
