My auto insurance just totaled my 2006 525i. I test drove a 545i before, it was a beast! But during the time the gas prices were ridiculous! With the gas prices fairly low, I am considering a 545i. I want your suggestions gents! What do you guys think? Let me know, thanks!
what happed to your car?? was there serious damage?

get the 545 if u want power. I kinda regret myself for buying the 545i and not the M5 for the power cuz I cheaped out and was afraid of the gas consumption as well. dont be like me.

Get a 535i if you can. There's room for boosting later on.

Well I didn't think the car would be totaled. I was only going 25 mph when I fell asleep on the wheel and hit a parked car. They found frame damage when they took it apart at the body shop. Well the good news is that I just picked up a 2004 545i CPO with 58k miles for 21K. I'm going down to Orlando to pick up my wheels and system and getting them installed onto the new car. Such a bid difference jumping from 525i to a 545i. It doesn't feel like the same car.

=)

If you buy a 530i, you'll regret not getting a 545i or 550i.

If you get a 545i or 550, you'll regret not getting a M5.

I chose option 2.

With the economy in pieces, you can get super nice cars at bargain basement prices

Oh yea, I paid $30 for a fill up. Its nice to drive a 550 for less than 10 cents a mile
