2008 535i key fob battery

Default 2008 535i key fob battery

hello
my 535i key battery never replaced. Do I need to replace the battery. What type should I use. Thanks

CR2032 lithium. Pop the cover off after removing the hidden key. You can use the end of the key to twist off the cover.

I guess mine is not the easy access. In that case it's rechargeable correct?

If you do not have Comfort Access, then your key fob does not have the removable back panel to replace the battery.

In that case, you have to cut open the key fob to replace the battery. And it requires soldering ability.

I had my 2 keys done by BMWGM5. I don't know if he still offers the service but you can google for his site. 6 years later and it still works.
