I took my 2003 330i in along with my 545 for service and the ignition coils were changed on the 330i only.

 

Yes, my wifes MY03 325xi was in for a new ignition coil recall.

 

Dealers call there recalls. Language in SIB says this:

PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS SERVICE INFORMATION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES THE NEXT TIME THEY ARE IN THE SHOP FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS.

That termionology in BMW service equals RECALL.
