Well now BMW of Arlington are saying the iPod adapter needs to be installed BEFORE they begin programming. I purposesly took it out before I dropped the car off!

So they have FINALLY bended and said they will attempt the software upgrade WITH the Dension Gateway installed.

 

I had mine installed for $450 includes, labor parts and programing.

 

Can someone please confirm if you need to have the iPod interface installed in the car before the programming?

(I'm just afraid I don't have fiber optic wires or the dip switches set correctly and they will change me even more time to correct it.
