Has anyone tried using Benzyne? I used it to remove the warning stickers on the sun visors and stuck on bugs. Works great.

The key is to keep your wheels waxed, that way the brake dust never gets baked on. I just bought WheelWax but have not tried it yet. Regular car wax worked fine anyway.

Try a good car wax first.? It may be enough to get the job done.

Good suggestion. I remove those spots with RejeX and some rubbing.

Mark,

I have the same spots on the inside of my winterrims.. Only a lot more.. I am going to try the tar remover from autoglym on the rims. Will post if this works out okay or not..

Ya, add to that.. I had winter wheels on my car so the 124 wheels where off which let me easily clean them off. I would never take off the rims just to clean the inside or anything crazy like that.?

Hi Mark,

When you took the rims off, did you have any problem with rust between the spacer and the rim?
