My Ride: 650 Grand Coupe
Model Year: 2016
Awesome! Thank you for posting this. The 2 issues I've been having with my transmission are both listed on the latest SIB. Now I'll have no problem describing the issues with my SA when I drop the car off for service tomorrow.

Any chance you have the change-log for the latest Progman updates?

Ok, I've completed the update of the software updates.
As many of you are aware starting in October 2008, BMW issued a new set of hardware to dealers for processing software upgrades. Along with the hardware change came a change in terminology/nomenclature for the software as well. The current name for what was PROGMAN (which had replaced CIP although still often used in some sense) is now ISTA/P. Both vehicle and system diagnostic software will come under this naming convention. My list will include the new naming convention. BMW distributed both PROGMAN and ISTA/P versions for a few months until all dealers were up and running on new hardware. Some dealers (SAs) are still not familiar with or even realize the change, hence some incorrect information is often given out concerning PROGMAN updates when it should be ISTA/P levels
You will notice an attempt by me to include the service bulletin info (SIBs) in the list of fixes when I know them. Since BMW quit issuing a separate SIB for the software updates with a list, this is as close as I can come to replicating such a list.
I am also including the 1 & 3 series list for those owners who may be here as well.
The 5/6 series list
CIP_Level_info_5_6_series_REv9_0609.pdf
The 1/3 series list
CIP_Level_info_1_3_series_Rev4_0609.pdf
I will work on getting an updated SIB list out the covers most if not all teh SIBs I included in these lists.
