Time for some updates. SIBs and CIPS (ISTA/P software) and as promised in a couple of threads, samples of old and new Measures Plans and Final Reports. These documents provide the information on software level amoungst other things. New feature in the new ISTA/P era of Final Reports and Measures Plans is the inclusion of your delivered software version in addition to old and new.

As always, I hope these prove useful to our members.

First up is the SIB list:

Now the 5 and 6 series (E6x) software levels:
CIP_Level_info_E6x_series_Rev10_1209.pdf

The 1 and 3 series (E9x and E82/3) software levels:
CIP_Level_info_1_3_series_Rev10_1209.pdf

And some samples of new version (ISTA/P) and older (PROGMAN) Final Report and Measures plans. The primary use for these from an owner standpoint is just to validate the software level.

CobraDav

Thanks for keeping us up to date so we can keep our SA on his/her toes

Could you let me see some more about SIBs 84 10 09; 84 11 09; 85 12 09 - from their titles they seem to have an answer to an issue with the new Navi system on my 2010 535xiT.

Many thanks

Hi CobraDav, I was wondering if you can help me. I have a 2005 545i. Automatic Trans. I have had the transmission replaced due to harsh shifting when accelerating from stop. Also, I was getting a little jittery feeling when I slow down to stop, just before the car actually stops, it gets a little jitter. The problem seems to lessen after replacing the trans and updating the software, which was last year around this time. The problem is now back the same as before the trans swap. Can you tell me if any of these software updates would help remedy my problem, and also, do you know of anything, mechanically, with the 05 545i's that I should be on the lookout for with regards to know issues?

Thank you for your help!!!!
