The only issue I have experienced is that sometimes the Bluetooth doesn't kick in and the sound just plays from the phone. I generally just stop and restart the car and it reconnects. I have these little intermittent electric "gremlins" with other things on my car, so I've just learned to live with them.

Hey Guys! I got rid of my 550i a few years ago, so I stopped coming here. But I have few spare minutes here at work so I though I'd swing by.

Glad to see my mod still lives after a few years!

Thanks for stopping by! Glad you started this thread! I've had my Sure board installed for about a year and a half now, and absolutely love it!

So what did you move on to?

Good Morning, I am trying to find a solution to listening to music, Pandora mostly, from my phone via bluetooth for my 2010 550i. I have waded through this thread a bit but it seems like a lot of the older stuff no longer is available. After searching amazon I found this...

Can I just plug this into the USB and Aux ports under my center armrest? can i control it via steering buttons?
thank you in advance.

This looks very similar to the one that I was outlining in this thread. I really liked it. It won’t give you “next song” button access on the steering wheel, but you can use the volume controls. When you start the car you “tap” the circle once to connect to the phone.

There was mention of belkin buggieness...... I never had a problem at all. I found the quality to be very good.

Hmmm i wonder what the actual difference is vs this one... all i really care about is streaming music. Using the phone is my last priority... looks like it has a next button... not keen on the idea of mounting it in the car... but its better than nothing i suppose...

here is what u need

https://www.amazon.com/Bovee-Bluetooth-Car-Kit-2009/dp/B073W2Z964/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=e60+bluetooth+streaming&qid=1560959540&s=gateway&sr=8-9 https://www.amazon.com/Bovee-Bluetooth-Car-Kit-2009/dp/B073W2Z964/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=e60+bluetooth+streaming&qid=1560959540&s=gateway&sr=8-9

this worked straight out the box. shows track info (no album art however) and still uses steering wheel controls/idrive radio controls to control music if need be.

I viewed the specs in the link you provided. It appears that this is a newer unit, and that they’ve added more control to the device. It looks like you should be able to select “next track” fro the device. I had to use the phone to do this.
