this worked straight out the box. shows track info (no album art however) and still uses steering wheel controls/idrive radio controls to control music if need be.
Note: This is only works if you have a USB port. Pre-LCI cars don't.

I viewed the specs in the link you provided. It appears that this is a newer unit, and that they’ve added more control to the device. It looks like you should be able to select “next track” fro the device. I had to use the phone to do this.
At 1/4 price of the other unit I think I will give this a shot...
Just to update, I bought the one off of Amazon, couldnt be happier... works exactly like I wanted it to for streaming music. I wish I had bought it years ago

All,
Since Tinypic is now defunct we can't access the pics from the 1st post in this thread. I'm pretty lost on how and what to do now, so I'm wondering if anyone has a decent how-to or video on completing the wiring.
I have the panel apart at rear of console but am stumped on how to proceed since I'm no electrical engineer.
Can someone post some more info on this?
I disconnected my AUX jack wire harness and used a 3.5 mm male headphone plug from an old set of headphones and just tapped into the harness wires. Then that plugs into the Sure board. (see pic below)
Okay, I have a 3.5mm jack that I cut the other end of off but I have no idea which specific wires from that loose 3.5mm end (there's a red, a white, and an outer ground?) need to be spliced into the aux harness wires.
Here's the aux harness connector unplugged from the aux module. Which of the red, white, and/or ground wires do I splice into the loose end of the 3.5mm connector? Black, yellow, or clear? And what exactly does each wire go to ?
Here's a pic of the loose end of the 3.5mm connector showing the red and white wires, and what I'm assuming is the ground wire.
Again, I'm just not sure which wires from the 3.5mm connector get spliced into which of the black, yellow, or ground wires on the aux harness wires.
Pointers appreciated!!

Not sure what you need to do, but maybe this video can help.
No, I looked at that video and it's not about the rear console and aux wiring. After thinking about it though, I've come to the conclusion the left and right wiring really doesn't matter as I'll never know whether they're reversed or not. I figure the red and white go to the yellow and black, and the grounds will just go together, so I'll wire it all up that way.
After that, the only remaining question will be how to wire the power into the board from the cigarette lighter wiring. I'd hate to wire it backward and smoke the board, not that I even know if that's possible.
