Leaked images of the 2019 BMW Z4 reveal a roadster similar to the concept first shown at 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

It’s been a while since a new Z4 has been seen in the flesh, though a lucky few will see the 2019 Z4 debut in Pebble Beach, California during the 2018 Concours d’Elegance.

Unless, of course, you’re a fan of its Japanese sibling, the upcoming Toyota Supra. Autoblog reports a set of a photos were leaked onto Supra enthusiast forum SupraMKV.com.

The leaked photos present a production-ready Z4 similar to the concept Z4 that had debuted at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but with a few key differences. For example, the concept had more aggressive headlights than the softer, more open units seen above. The grill is more or less the same, though, while the chin spoiler is thicker and more integrated into the production Z4, and the lower air intakes are much smaller.

Out back, the Z4’s tail lights are more or less as they were on the concept, but the exhaust tips are much closer to the corners compared to the concept’s more centered tips. The production version’s side profile is also similar to the concept, with door handles added, and more realistic side view mirrors replacing the narrow units on the concept. The biggest change between the two is the loss of the aero pods behind the roll hoops, the space between filled with a windscreen to help keep everyone’s hair from blowing in the wind.

The badging on the rear of the car reveals this Z4 to be an M40i version, which Autoblog says is likely powered by a turbocharged inline-six good for 382 horses and 369 lb-ft of torque. They add that if BMW follows the same strategy in marketing the 8 Series, this will be the only model available at launch, with more powerful versions to come later. Either way, we can’t wait to see this Z4 parked on a green lawn near the Pacific.
