Here's some information on how to change the air filter elements:
545i (N62 engine):
RA__Replacing_air_filter_element__N62_.pdf
530i, 525i, 520i (M54 engine):
RA__Replacing_air_cleaner_element__M54_.pdf
535d, 525d (M57TU engine):
Note: This process is much more involved on the M57TU engine. Use the Acrobat bookmarks to help you follow the appropriate preliminary steps.

So if we use any A/C cleaning / de-moldering stuff Would that be the place to squirt it into the AC system?

That's not where the service bulletin says to spray it. Actually, the process for treating the moldy odor outlined in the bulletin is pretty complicated. Here's a sample that contains only procedure #1 (procedure #2 is way more complicated). Even procedure #1 requires special equipment, etc.
Here's the service bulletin (sorry about the bizzare word wrapping -- it happens on some documents and there's nothing I can do about it...):

Oh... oh boy... sounds like we need to spray from under the passenger foot well and let it suck. Sounds easy... but I bet somthings going to go wrong.... :'(
