I agree with the bumping post and to have a separate sub forum for vendors and private sellers

seperate sections for vendors and private would be a good idea for sure. Im tad confused, so one cannot BUMP their thread at all, so eventually the thread will fall all the way to say page 6 where no one can see it... Maybe a clause if I may, one bump every 72 hours allowed?

As already said, it interferes with the search and the view new posts.
If no one replies you have to consider a price drop.
A price drop wold be an update, say news, so that wouldn't be considered a bump.

Mark - I'm really glad you and Dave are instituting these policies. As of late, all you ever see on the forum, when viewing new posts, are vendors selling items. This forum is a discussion board about our cars. That's why so many of us enjoy being here. In the last 6 months, it's felt more like e60Bay.net. Navigating through the clutter of vendor posts is a pain in the butt. I'm glad we'll be seeing less of these. I'm all for these changes.

and in the vendor section major vendors like Eurorev, trinity etc. Have their own section, I think this will make it more easier to navigate IMO.

Agree with LOMAG completely re: banning the 'bump' and make separate
Private and Vendor subforums.

I never understood why vendors would feel the need to post a 'pm replied' or a
'I PMed you' seeing that the particular person they're contacting IS going to get
that PM when they log on.

It's been getting a bit irritating to be reading threads on the forum with so many
bumps on threads that have been around for ages.

Finally the Admin will set up some rules and policy. From my experiences with other forums, I didn't really see there is a rule or policy of deleting the "bump" threads, but there really is a policy saying you can only bump once a day. Lowering prices will only make the martket bad like Ebay, and the quality of products will getting worse because no one is willing to pay good prices for good quality stuff. But it's a good thing to seperate vendors and private sellers, and vendors should pay monthly fee in order to sell.
