The pecksniffs at Consumer Reports look upon a car as nothing more than an appliance. They value an automobile for the same reasons you'd value your toaster or refridgerator. No emotional attatchment, but merely utility and, BY GOD , the enviromental and safety aspects. To them the car is srictly medicinal and should not impart a sense of satisfaction and joy. In my opinion they are in the same league as Joan Claybrook and the rest of the car-hating safety Nazi group.
