Hey man,
Look at your own poll! 16 replied as "Don't care as long as it's a Saturday" and 4 replied "6/24/06" = 20!

Alright sounds good. I'm making the call. Anyone disagree?

I'm going off the poll.

Mark your Calendars, The Drive will be Saturday, June 24th 2006 Ortega Hwy.

Anyone have any objections?

Anyone from the area can plan a route? If not I'll work on one this week and get couple people to approve it. If you want to be on the approval commity PM me.

I have to be in San Diego once or twice a week, though I usually take the train, I have a lunch meeting this Wed. and will be driving instead. Maybe I can scope out the area. I can also make subsequent trips to finalize a route, a meeting place, and maybe a reservation at a restaurant...some time before the meet. We just need to agree on a time - which will depend on the length of the drive.

I already have some idea. I just need to take out a map and plan it out. Ive done it I think 3 times. once with E39 M5s once with Brecht MINI with 80 MINIs and once with E60s but that was a really short one.

I'll look into it this week and have a route planned by the end of this week. Let me warn everyone now... Ortega Hwy isnt short. But it is a easy drive. nice scenes and I'll plan a stop or 2 along the way.

Mt Polomar and Julian (Lunch / Brunch?) dont knwo where to stop for pics but I guess we can figure that out later. someone will know the area.

Good night for now. gotta get some rest so I can slave away to pay for the upcomming gas bill :'(

Well, I do live in San Diego County. I'll can ask around about Julian and the drive on Ortega Highway. I'll gather as much info as I can and post back here .

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. I just saw EBMCS03's post. He's an old pro on the Ortega Highway...

I'm thinking about going down there for weekend. If anyone wants me to install paddle shift kit, I can do it for you. If anyone has SMG and wants to convert to M5 SMG, please let me know so I can prepare. Each car takes about 40 to 50 minutes to install.
I can do navwithTV, too.

Anyone in Bay Area will go down there, too?
Sorry to get off the subject...but do you think you could figure out how to add a wire to the M5 mirrors I have...to make the fold-up action work? I have all the parts...the mirrors and the new switch. Just wondering.
