FYI the restaurant on the mt. is Angelus Oaks Restaurant or Oaks restaurant. While we're up at Mt. Wilson...does anyone care to do a quick walk of the observatory? (Just an idea for the ones who've never been there?)

Cool! You're going to make reservations for the restruant?

I wouldnt mind taking a look at the observatory I'm pretty open up to everyone else.

Ok, now that we have chosen the drive, we need to nail down the meet point and time. Of course it will be sometime in the morning. How does 9am sound? Meet point, I'll leave that up to EBMCS03 or Blackonblackonblack to decide.

And count me in for the observatory. Might I suggest the walk AFTER the lunch? Good exercise after eating and will keep you from falling asleep at wheel.

I would be there for this ride EXCEPT that I am picking up my 530 in Munich on June 22. You can think of my while I cruise the Bavarian Alps with gas costing about $6.50 per gallon...

I am new around here. How often do these cruises happen in SoCal?

Black will post a meeting point. We'll meet soemwhere before off the 210 and have a light snack talk about the route and who'll lead and who'll fall behind and such and such and then we'll be off. so no worries.

The drive takes a couple hours altogether...more or less.

You're very lucky! I got to do that with a friend last Feb?/Mar? - I forget. It was a lot of fun. Are you driving any where outside Munich? Austria is a great day drive if you don't spend more time than a few days. Definately ask to keep the DVD for the European area. (Pull it out and keep it before you drop the car off). You'll automatically get the US version.) You should also keep the reflective triangle...if it's in the car when you get it. They remove that for the US...but if you want it, bring it back with your luggage. Have fun. We can meet up again on another meet n greet.

After cruising around the Bavarian Alps for a day or two and the Dingolfing tour, I head up north to my native Denmark for a couple of weeks. The idea is that the car will be fully broken in when I head back down to Munich via the autobahn for the drop-off.

You make it sound like my car will be delivered with the European nav DVD. I would have to pay extra for that, right? I have made arrangements to rent one (EU version) here in the states before my trip. Thanks for the reminders on triangle etc etc.
