Re. that second route, I'd recommend getting from F?ssen to Garmisch on the back road via Pflach - Reutte - Breitenwang, and then head for the Plansee in the direction of Linderhof, Ettal and Oberau. This takes you away from Garmisch, but that road past the Plansee is a delight, and it still drops you onto the A95 northbound to Munich.
There will be the small question of needing Austrian vignettes for the short stretch of their motorway, but there is a cafe/rest stop just south of F?ssen on the road to Pflach that sells them.

Thanks for this mate, sounds like an awesome drive I'm seriously looking forward to this event now
As for whether you can make it or not, lets just keep in contact via PM to see how that pans out. Fingers crossed...

I'll work on the restaurant reservations for Friday and Saturday, to make sure we end up somewhere good in the evenings. I'll also start putting a pack together for us to be sent out early next week.

Quick update....
I have made a reservation for Friday evening at a great Munich Restaurant / Brauhaus
The route is sorted for Friday and Saturday, the details will be sent out this evening... addresses / timing / contact details / etc.
I still have not heard from Andy545, Maxwell or 320d Touring, but assume you are still joining us.
More to follow later today...

For a long time I have thought we were able to join the whole meet but last week it started to like I had to work on Friday/Saturday and now it is for 99% certain that I have to work both days to get my companies yearly balance sheet ready in time so it looks like we have to skip this meet.
I am sorry that it took so long, but I hoped that maybe it would turn out differently.
I hope you guys have a great meet and hope to be able to join the next one.

Guten tag!
And greetings from Kassel, Germany!!
The weather on the way down from Travem?nde was terrible (fog, rain, hard wind), but we made it in one piece.
Top speed in the unrestricted areas was only 205km/h due to the weather. However, that is still the fastest that I have ever driven my E61!
My wife was not exactly as thrilled as I was about this...
It is a holiday here (in this state at least), so this place is rather quiet!
We are looking forward to seeing you in W?rzburg tomorrow.
