Looks like you have the feinstaub-plakette stickers sorted, thanks MacSid. I did mine at a BMW Dealership when I was last in Gemany, so that's also an option for others... means you can check-out the showroom whilst you wait

Start making your hotel reservations!!
Hit the link to Motel One and make a reservation at Munich City East (Ost)

I think the route planning for Friday is relatively clear, i.e. we'll set a meeting point (30-60 minute block) near W?rzburg some time around midday / lunchtime, so its a natural stop-off time and people can get refreshments etc. whilst we wait for everyone to turn up. We will just use a service-station on the A3.

As for Saturday's route planning, I'm going to need some
Maxwell said he could help and he's from Munich -- you still able to do that?
What about others -- any ideas?
We could head south towards Starnberger See, or north-east towards Regensburg or to the south west direction Allg?u?? I am sure there are plenty of great routes! Anyone familiar with the region who could help or anyone who could do some searching?

p.s. Patrick E61, thanks for the PM. I will be collecting info from all attendees and putting a pack together. That said I think I have most of the others' details from previous meets, but probably best to check its still up to date.

This sticker thing is stressing me out, so I just sent an e-mail to a T?V office in Travem?nde, right next to the ferry terminal that we will arrive at.

Guys, what I was dreading has happened. It is nearing the end of the work day here and my car is still in the shop ... and I head off for a business trip tomorrow, from which I ams scheduled to return next week. Even if I do get the car back before tonight (which I am now doubting), it will have 0km on the new box, and I am not comfortable taking it on a road trip in that state. I'm afraid I'm going to have to give this meet a miss

Damn. I was really looking forward to meeting you.

Have someone from the dealership drive it 200km after the install!

What a bunch of... ok ok , I'll count to 10. If you don't get the car tonight, I would seriously consider asking them for a loaner. Tell them you have a weekend break planned and that you're not prepared to run the risk of driving that far away from home (with Mrs MacSid) without the new auto being driven in. Mention likely cancellation costs so close to the time and see what happens. They put you in this mess, they should get you out of it. Maybe worth a try? (I'm not giving up on you yet mate!)

Hi guys,

Sorry. It has been a while, not very busy on the forum lately.

I won't be able to attend the meet. Spending a whole weekend on a meet is too much for me at this moment.
Free time is very sparce. And I have already planned the whole weekend.

Next time!!! (preferable a day-meet)

Definitely worth a try. It's now 6 hours to go to my last meeting-and-run-for-plane dash .... and still no car...

I'm a student at Copenhagen Business School, and my master is in Finance & Strategic Management, with some finance courses from an MBA school in the US (September 2008-December 2008).

The topic is of course about cars; how to avoid some of the insane taxes we have on cars in Denmark, with a new form of leasing, which is now made possible by the Danish government. The rest is confidential
