1) when did I ever mention selling my BMW to pay for my knees, as I said I have had the surgeries already. My knees are fine - again showing you're a moron.

How about you go git yoself one of them nice F-250's that way you don't have to pretend to mod a 5er - it deserves better than Nebraska anyway
1. you said in another post you would like to get your knee's looked at.

it deserves better than nebraska anyway? WHAT? keep em comin'

2. I have more mods then you do. My car is newer, with less miles, cost more then yours did. Funny how you talk about pretending to mod yet your sig says your car is sport and premium package yet your sport package came with chrome trim. Keep em comin' your killin me.

Sorry Phil, but like I said I am sick and tired of getting attacked when the convo gets good by this moronic imbecile of a back country inbred reject

You, Steven, John, and Roger start the convo going in the right direction and suddenly I'm interrupted by the goober they find everytime there's a UFO sighting
keep conducting yourself in a mature manor. The personal insults just in the last 20 mins have topped anyone else on this forum in the last 6 months. You are doing a good job keep em comin'

You are a funny little guy. You talk about smearing the topic yet your the one smearing it. I simply asked you not to suggest stupid things in a serious discussion. Im not the one that came in suggesting trading medical services for farm animals. If that were the case i think i would have access to amazing health care because im just a inbred, backwards ass hick from middle america right?

Again, someone who seems to know me better than I know myself. I do not listen to Hannity nor do I like , he is a hypocrite. He espouses freedom, privatization and calls himself a conservative yet does advertising for GM.

Steve, you have yet to answer how gov't, with it's proven track record of complete and utter failure, is somehow going to pull off national healthcare.
By the same token, John, you've provided precious little to back up your contentions that it's destined to fail and, other than the HSA idea, very few suggestions on what could be done as an alternative that isn't already covered by the plan.

Much of the opposition to the plan is trying to misrepresent the experience in other countries that have public care or the public option.

One of my favorites was a story this week that ran in the Investor's Business Daily. It was picked up by a lot of the usual suspects.

In it, they made the following statement:

?People such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn?t have a chance in the U.K., where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless,?

Rather unfortunately, they failed to realize that Professor Hawking is actually British, has lived there all his life, and personally attributes the NHS as the reason he's still with us.

As the great man himself said, ?I wouldn?t be here today if it were not for the NHS. I have received a large amount of high-quality treatment without which I would not have survived.?

My point in mentioning this is simple. The amount of misinformation and misrepresentation on this topic is little short of a disgrace. And in my judgment, while both sides have some culpability, the vast majority of those who are (and I am trying to be reasonably gracious here) being "economical with the truth" tend to be those towards the conservative end of the political spectrum.

There will be insurance no matter what - the lobby is too strong. The questions are what kind? how much? who will pay for it? who will manage/regulate it?

Clearly, insurance is the single biggest racket there is, they will no relinquish power willingly. We need, at minimum, the Gov't to step in with regulations to force insurers to cover pre-existing conditions, end-of-life care, and serious illness. The status quo must end.

If we maintain a "for profit" healthcare system far too many Americans will continue to die unnecessarily

Yes, I do believe one should have catastrophic coverage in addition to an HSA.

The problem is, how long the insurance company will keep sustaining care if you have, say, cancer? You know as well as I do - the second they think they will lose $$ covering you they will drop you like a hot stone.
