Yep, one of the best qualifying sessions for a while. Looked like Kubica had pole in the bag until Lewis pulled out that flyer and what a tremendous lap that was. Pretty significant margin between him and the other top qualifiers. I'm wondering if he's running a little light from the start tomorrow. Will be interesting to see when he needs to pit.
Indeed. If he pits the same time as the majority then that was a 101% banzai attack.

Robert Kubica's comments: "It was a very difficult qualifying with the track breaking up in some corners, which is a disaster. It was easy to make mistakes with these conditions. When you missed the racing line by just ten or 20 centimetres you were on the marbles with very low grip. However, I'm very happy with second. Certainly it will be a tough race tomorrow on this track. Unfortunately I shall not be starting on the clean side. McLaren particularly looks very strong and I shall also have pressure from the Ferrari, but we have to see who is on which strategy."

BMW 1-2 !!! So happy for Kubica , good one guys, very nice and clean driving from Kubica. What a fantastic pole, i admire this guy so much.

But the main even is the incident involving the pit lane. What on Earth happened there? How could Hamilton not see the red lights and the two cars that stopped in front of him?! I mean it's not that they braked when Hamilton was right in their asses but Hamilton had 1-2 seconds to react and step on the brakes! Did he think he could squeeze somewhere?! Hope he doesn't drive the same on public roads

And then having seen that Rosberg does the same thing! How can you not stop???

Hamilton had a "brain fart" like his father driving the Carrera GT.

I was just glad he ran into Kimi and not Robert.

If that didn't happen, it was going to be interesting anyways. Kimi and Robert would have had a drag race down pit exit for what was basically first place.

Kubica is having an amazing season, he has been fast at almost every circuit. He got his first victory for him and BMW. Plus he is leading the Championship.

WooooHooooo!! Go BMW!!

Update: Hamilton recieves a 10 spot grid penalty for the upcoming French Grand Prix.
