Glock was on the drys YES and might have been struggling to stay on the track, but he still gave up the position. Hamilton has a very good friend in Timo!!!
Watch the finish below.
Watch here
I think you are being a bit unfair to poor old Timo here because, if you look at the video you posted, 4 cars (including 1lap down Kubica & Nakajima) passed him in that corner, had they been on the lead lap he would have lost 4 spots, he was totally helpless.

I admit there's no way for me to know what really happened, so I play the speculation game. Perhaps it was something other than slipping in the wetness, perhaps he lost his engine?? What an exciting finish...whatever happened. Kudos to Toyota also, they really picked it up towards the end of the year.

What does everyone think happened to BMW? Driver YIPS? Manufacturer stopped improving the car for '08?

I think they stopped developing the cars and placed most of their resources into the 09 program........bad move.

It was all down to tires. Only two drivers ended the race on the dry tires, and both had final lap times that were close to identical so we can be pretty sure there were no shenanigans here. McLaren predicted that they would catch Glock on the final lap and hence Lewis didn't need to risk fighting Vettel when he pushed to overtake. The gamble could have backfired, but it clearly worked out just as they predicted.
