Hamilton tags a barrier, but at the right spot on the track. He got his wheel fixed and comes out in 4th. That was his only problem of the day and won. Massa got caught in a one stop strategy and had to change to dry tires while leading. He finished third. Raikonen had probably the worst day. He was the one that qualified in front of Kubica I didn't expect to have any driving errors and he had two bad ones. I thought he would be conservative having the best car. It was not to be. I expected Massa to put it in the wall somewhere, but he did not. Kovelinen's car didn't start so his day was over early. Heidfeld? He's toast at BMW. I don't see how he can recover now.

Fantastic race...most of the time when all you had to do is pray nothing went wrong. I wonder what was Alonso thinking when he tried to overtake Heidfeld in that haipin?!

About Robert that's very good, and a great strategy from the team. LOL @ Raikonnen for rear ending A. Sutil (poor guy).

What a great race, so much action!

Oh do I feel for Adrian Sutil being taken out by Kimi. Could you imagine racing your heart out every race and constantly finishing at the rear of the field. You have the chance to finish fourth at Monaco in an inferior car with less than ten laps to go. At least Kimi didn't get any points out of the race, he looked terrible all day.

Another wet one?

From Formula1.com:
Weekend weather update - thunderstorms expected in Canada

Welcome to the seventh round of the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Montreal?s Ile Notre Dame.

It looks as if we could be in for a very wet weekend, with predictions veering from thunderstorms to showers and back to thunderstorms in recent days.

At present, Thursday is forecast to be partly cloudy and dry with an ambient temperature high of 24 degrees Celsius. There will then be thunderstorms on Friday through to Sunday, with the temperature fluctuating between 26 and 29 degrees.

Saturday practice and qualifying will each start an hour earlier than usual (1000 hours and 1300 hours local time respectively). The race, which will run over 70 laps or 305.270 kilometres (189.694 miles), will start at 1300 hours local time, four hours behind GMT.

Very exciting quali session. I thought Robert had the pole, until the last second. It looks like it will be a very exciting race.

Yep, one of the best qualifying sessions for a while. Looked like Kubica had pole in the bag until Lewis pulled out that flyer and what a tremendous lap that was. Pretty significant margin between him and the other top qualifiers. I'm wondering if he's running a little light from the start tomorrow. Will be interesting to see when he needs to pit.
