For me the craziest thing I think I heard on the race weekend happened during the F2 race...someone's dog got loose on the track and actually got hit and did some major damage to one of the cars! The owner should be banded from the track for life.

Yup, in the GP2 race Bruno Senna hit a dog on the straight. There were multiple dogs running around on the track.

Video, happens around 2:15

Wow! They need a little control there. Too bad for Senna.

Thanks for sharing.

What I predicted a month ago, see post#129

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/f1-...mw-says-kubica/

F1: Monaco Should be Good for BMW, Says Kubica

Robert Kubica expects BMW to be right on the race in Monaco, despite the team?s slight dip in form in Turkey.

Last year BMW was quick at Monaco but the team opted to qualify heavy and go for one stop, which cost grid positions and ultimately points. This year the team is likely to be far more aggressive and be among the lightest cars in qualifying.

I think Monaco should suit better our car,? said Kubica. ?I was very quick there, so I?m looking forward to it. I hope we will manage to be at least the same performance as last year, which was very good. I think we go there to score as many points as possible, and do as good a race as possible.?

Relative to other recent races BMW dropped back a little in Turkey, thanks mainly to tire management issues inthe unexpectedly cool conditions. Kubica still finished fourth, albeit some way behind the two top teams. He did at least run ahead of Kimi Raikkonen?s Ferrari in the early stages.

I did manage a very good start and I gained two positions, then unfortunately on the pit stop Kimi overtook me. Anyway, if not on the first pit stop, then he would do it on the second one, so fourth place is the maximum points we could get from the race. I was happy with the balance of the car, and more, we couldn?t expect.?

Kubica is convinced that the dip in form was a one-off: ?I don?t think we have to close the gap, it?s just one race where we were clearly slower than McLaren. Let?s wait and see a couple more races. Probably Turkey was suiting more their car.?

Massa says he doesn't Monaco, he prefers real circuits. Probably because he lacks some car control at times, he can't afford to run off the Monaco track.

F1: I Don?t Like Monaco, Says Massa

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/f1-...aco-says-massa/

Felipe Massa has made it clear that he is no great fan of Monaco, claiming he prefers ?real? circuits. The Brazilian was third for Ferrari last year, but does not have a particularly impressive record in the principality.

?I had some good results here but it?s not one of my favorite circuits,? he said. ?I enjoy a bit more real circuits like Spa, Turkey; even the new circuits, Bahrain, China, I enjoy much more than street circuits, it?s not very much fun to drive.

?If looks like sometimes if you push a little bit you are slow. So you need to drive very technical, you need to be very careful, because if you brake a little bit later sometimes you gain in the braking, but youlose in the exit, so it?s very different driving here than the other circuits.?

Massa says he?s not looking forward to driving without traction control, especially if as expected it rains.

?Here it was already quite difficult with traction control. Without traction control, it will be a lottery. Whoever is driving very carefully will maybe have a chance to win the race. The problem is that you start maybe learning all the corners in the wet, but then you start to go a few laps more to try and learn the limit, and sometimes if you pass the limit a little bit, you?re already in the wall. It was like that with traction control, and without it, it?s going to be very tough.?
